Volleyball Recap: Cassville Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Iris Adams and Jocelyn Adrian

Cassville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Highland Cardinals, falling 3-0. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cassville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 25-12.

Jocelyn Adrian and Iris Adams certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Adrian had four digs and two aces, while Adams had 11 digs. Adrian has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Cassville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Highland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Cassville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against MFL MarMac on the 13th. As for Highland, they will take on River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
