Baseball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Comes Up Short

Lloyd Memorial came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Highlands Bluebirds. The defeat continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their meetings with the Bluebirds: they've now lost three in a row.

Lloyd Memorial now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Highlands, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lloyd Memorial will host Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Juggernauts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highlands, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Scott at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bluebirds 3.3, the Eagles 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
