Softball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Normal University Pioneers. The Generals were not able to make up for their loss to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Normal University, they pushed their record up to 2-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MacArthur will head out to take on Taylorville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Normal University, they will challenge Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Senators' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Pioneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
