Basketball Game Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Tempe Buffaloes

Coronado and Tempe are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Coronado Dons will head out to square off against the Tempe Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Coronado came up short against Arcadia and fell 51-44.

Meanwhile, Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Cortez.

Coronado's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Tempe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coronado strolled past Tempe in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 36-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coronado since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
