Volleyball Recap: North Georgia Christian Academy Knights vs. Philadelphia Christian School Eagles

North Georgia Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Philadelphia Christian School Eagles on Tuesday. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-28, 27-25, 25-22.

Philadelphia Christian School found their leader in sophomore Peyton Smith, who had 14 kills and nine aces. Looking ahead, North Georgia Christian Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Covenant Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Philadelphia Christian School and Kings Way Christian School will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
