Baseball Recap: Abington Heights Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Abington Heights won the last time they faced Scranton and things went their way on Friday too. The Comets were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Knights. Considering the Comets have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Nick Bradley was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Thomas LaCoe, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Abington Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in four consecutive games.

Abington Heights has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
