Football Recap: Lehigh Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lehigh lost against Riverview Sarasota back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lightning were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Rams are ranked 46th).

Riverview Sarasota got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Belt out in front who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Noah Chieffo was another key pass catcher, picking up 104 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Lehigh has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Riverview Sarasota, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-1.

Coming up, Lehigh will face off against Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lightning surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will challenge Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
