Baseball Game Preview: Atkins Camels vs. Eastern Guilford Wildcats

Atkins took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand High Point Central a 16-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Camels in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern Guilford). Everything went their way against Ben L. Smith on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Atkins' victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Eastern Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 3-16.
