Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Comes Up Short

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Herculaneum Black Cats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2015.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Herculaneum, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1.

Viburnum didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Jefferson on the 20th. As for Herculaneum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Licking on the 20th.
