On Thursday, Hill Country Christian School of Austin had to settle for second even though MC Gilliam put up the best numbers she has all season. Gilliam went a perfect 6-for-6 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs, which was good enough to set a new career-high in hits.

Gilliam and Hill Country Christian School of Austin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brazos Christian at 7:15 p.m. on March 27th. Hill Country Christian School of Austin hasn't beaten Brazos Christian recently, having gone 0-3 since April of 2018.
