Volleyball Recap: Cara Peterson and Mallory Brickner Secure Win for Mohawk

Mohawk waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Colonel Crawford Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 2nd.

Mohawk walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-11.

Leading Mohawk to victory were Mallory Brickner and Cara Peterson. Brickner had seven digs and four aces, while Peterson had six digs.

Mohawk's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Colonel Crawford, they dropped their record down to 12-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mohawk will face off against rival Carey at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Colonel Crawford is set to square off against their familiar foe Upper Sandusky at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
