Basketball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. Bainbridge Spartans

Olympic is 1-9 against Bainbridge since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Olympic Trojans will challenge the Bainbridge Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Olympic ended up a good deal behind North Mason and lost 73-59. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 80-63. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bainbridge pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Olympic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Olympic came out on top in a nail-biter against Bainbridge when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olympic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
