Soccer Recap: Spackenkill Comes Up Short

Spackenkill entered their matchup against Mount Academy on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Spackenkill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Mount Academy are ranked tenth).

Cadence Koehler and Olivia Stout scored both of Spackenkill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Spackenkill's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Mount Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-0.

As of now, neither Spackenkill nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
