Soccer Game Preview: Shady Spring vs. Winfield

Shady Spring's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Bluefield. It was an even better day for Micah Smith as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Winfield faced Hurricane in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Generals fell 3-1 to the Redskins. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Winfield couldn't push the score so high this time.

The victory made it two in a row for Shady Spring and bumps their season record up to 9-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Winfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-2.
