Mintz Christian Academy snaps eight-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Mintz Christian Academy Lions vs. Temple Christian Tigers

After a string of six wins, the Mintz Christian Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were dealt a 63-36 defeat at the hands of Temple Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mintz Christian Academy has scored all season.

Josh Little was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 0 assists for Temple Christian. Little also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rivera, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Mintz Christian Academy's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1. As for Temple Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Mintz Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Grace Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 567th in South Carolina, while Mintz Christian Academy is ranked 243rd in North Carolina). As for Temple Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Liberty Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
