Recap: Eastwood Eagles vs. Genoa Area Comets
The Eastwood Eagles won the last time they faced the Genoa Area Comets, and things went their way on Friday too. Eastwood came out on top against Genoa Area by a score of 36-29.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caiden Maize, who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Eastwood also got a significant boost from Kadyn Donnell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.
Eastwood's victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Eastwood will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. As for Genoa Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
