Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland and Prairie Heights squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lakeland had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Lakers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Lakeland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaia McNamara, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Prairie Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-17.

Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairie Heights, they will face off against Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
