Softball Recap: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern Columbia Area, Bloomsburg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 21-8 margin over the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their 12-game losing streak.
Kara Bodganowicz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Carlie Wright was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Bloomsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Bloomsburg's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17.
Bloomsburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 loss against Montoursville on the 15th. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they will square off against Southern Columbia Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
