Volleyball Recap: Whittier Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Whittier Christian can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Heritage Christian Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Whittier Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-11, 25-14, 25-21.

Whittier Christian found their leader in sophomore Anwar Klewer, who had 13 digs and two assists. Mark Zamarripa also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Whittier Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Whittier Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Heritage Christian, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
