Softball Recap: Parchment Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Parchment was the 1-0 winner over Coloma when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Comets by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

Parchment's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Coloma, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0-1.

Looking ahead, Parchment will venture away from home to square off against Kalamazoo Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Coloma, they will square off against South Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Comets 3.2, the Rams 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
