Softball Recap: Meadville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Warren on Wednesday, Meadville came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 13-3 to the McDowell Trojans on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Wednesday.

Addyson Kregel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Meadville's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for McDowell, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Meadville will take on rival Erie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, McDowell is set to square off against their familiar foe General McLane at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
