Softball Recap: Dixon Takes a Loss

Dixon was the 4-3 winner over Rock Falls when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Dukes & Duchesses took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets on Thursday.

Dixon has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Rock Falls, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-18.

Coming up, Dixon will head out to face off against Rockford Auburn at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rock Falls, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sterling at 4:30 p.m. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
