Basketball Recap: Cromwell's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After flying high against Pine City on Friday, Cromwell came back down to earth. The Cromwell Cardinals fell 57-47 to the Mesabi East Giants on Saturday. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cromwell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Siiena Anderson, who posted seven points along with eight assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in assists. Isabella Anderson was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds.
