New Albany has gone a perfect 6-0 against Newark recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, New Albany came up short against Olentangy Liberty and fell 3-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 28-26, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Newark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Reynoldsburg.

Newark took Reynoldsburg into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 15-7.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for New Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

New Albany was able to grind out a solid victory over Newark in their previous matchup on April 10th, winning 3-1. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
