Basketball Recap: Ely Comes Up Short

Ely lost to Cook County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Timberwolves lost 80-55 to the Vikings.

Cook County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but MaCoy Fairbanks led the charge by going 9-for-15 on his way to 24 points and five assists. That's the most points Fairbanks has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Spry, who shot 75% from the field en route to 23 points and five rebounds.

Ely's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cook County, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
