Basketball Recap: Tulelake Comes Up Short

Tulelake lost against Modoc back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Honkers took a blow against the Braves, falling 66-33.

Colin Jeffers had an outrageously good game for Modoc as he shot 58% from the field to rack up 19 points along with six steals and five assists. With that strong performance, Jeffers is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. Ashton Lauppe was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points.

Tulelake's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Modoc, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tulelake will be home for the holidays to greet Butte Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Modoc, they will host Bonanza at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
