Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Frisco Raccoons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Frisco, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Centennial will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Mansfield at 1:00 p.m. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Frisco, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Highlands at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
