The Ironton Fighting Tigers will face off against the New Hartford Spartans at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ironton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Ironton made easy work of James Monroe and carried off an 11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Tigers, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ava Bihl and Miley Bias made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bihl tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Bias pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bihl has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Bihl went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Bias went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave Bihl a new career-high.
In other batting news, Khamil Martin was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Ironton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, New Hartford didn't have quite enough to beat Rome Free Academy last Monday and fell 5-4.
Addie Way made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Galiulo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
New Hartford dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ironton, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
