There's no place like home for Nestucca, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over the Gaston Greyhounds on Friday. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 22-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Gaston still got an impressive performance from Aiden Sheets, who rushed for 188 yards while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also caught one score. Sheets' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. Tony Fern also helped out as he racked up 116 rushing yards.

Nestucca pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points over those games. As for Gaston, their record now sits at 4-4.

Coming up, Nestucca will head out to face off against Clatskanie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santiam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
