Fruitland has gone 9-1 against Payette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Grizzlies will welcome the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Fruitland is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Fruitland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Cole Valley Christian 51-20 on Friday. Considering the Grizzlies have won four games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Fruitland can attribute much of their success to Titus Vidlak, who threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns, and Killian Wilson, who gained 179 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in rushing yards (148). Fruitland's leading receiver Spencer Tracy was Vidlak's top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and one score.

Fruitland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fruitland's defense and their seven sacks. Cole Valley Christian's QB won't forget Kelvin Obot anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Fruitland received some extra help from Obot, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Payette's offense. They were beaten by Homedale 48-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Trojans are ranked 14th).

Fruitland's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Payette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Fruitland against Payette in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-7 win. In that matchup, the Grizzlies amassed a halftime lead of 27-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
