Recap: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. St. James Sharks

The Carolina Forest Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 64-38 walloping at the hands of St. James. While losing is never fun, Carolina Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while St. James is ranked 25th).

When it comes to explaining why Carolina Forest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daniel Allen. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Allen hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Nick Zincone, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Carolina Forest's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for St. James, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.

Carolina Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. James, they will be playing at home against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. James is facing Stratford at the right time seeing as Stratford is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
