Oak Park is 9-1 against Simi Valley since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oak Park Eagles will host the Simi Valley Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. Oak Park's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Oak Park didn't have quite enough to beat Moorpark and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Musketeers are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Simi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Royal. That's two games in a row now that the Pioneers have lost by just one goal.

Simi Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Oak Park, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 4-3-2.

Oak Park skirted past Simi Valley 4-3 when the teams last played on Wednesday. Does Oak Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Simi Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
