Research Triangle hasn't had much luck against Raleigh Charter recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raptors will welcome the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Research Triangle is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They lost 9-0 to Franklin Academy. While losing is never fun, Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Franklin Academy are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Raleigh Charter entered their contest against Franklin Academy on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Phoenix came up short against the Patriots, falling 7-0. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Raleigh Charter it sure didn't stay that way.

Research Triangle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
