Basketball Recap: Stearns Takes a Loss

Stearns was the 59-47 winner over Penquis Valley when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Stearns Minutemen lost to the Penquis Valley Patriots on the road by a 57-39 margin on Monday.

Stearns dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Penquis Valley, they moved to 1-2 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Stearns will be home for the holidays to greet Schenck at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Penquis Valley will take on Penobscot Valley in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
