Baseball Game Preview: Picayune Maroon Tide vs. West Jones Mustangs

For the second straight game, Picayune will face off against West Jones. The Maroon Tide will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Picayune is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Picayune is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out West Jones 3-2. The Maroon Tide haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Parker Helton was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Brunson Stockstill was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for West Jones and nudges their season record down to 13-11. As for Picayune, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.
