The James Logan Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Alameda Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (James Logan 3.2, Alameda 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
James Logan not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024. They never let American get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Colts' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

James Logan got a great performance from Corynn Gracey as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Gracey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ava Medellin was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Hall-Flores, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
James Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Alameda didn't have quite enough to beat Granada on Saturday and fell 5-4.
Mia Wong made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
James Logan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. James Logan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351.
