Soccer Recap: Salida's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Basalt two weeks ago, Salida came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 5-2 to the Crested Butte Titans on Monday. Salida were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Muez Richmond and Isaac Sarmiento scored both of Salida's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Salida fell to 2-1. As for Crested Butte, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Salida has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Woodland Park on the 10th. As for Crested Butte, they will head out to square off against Gunnison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give Crested Butte their first taste of in-conference action this season.
