After a string of five wins, Rancho Mirage's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Rancho Mirage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kobee Finnikin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Rancho Mirage's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Palm Desert, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
