Volleyball Recap: Granite Hills Comes Up Short

Granite Hills lost against Hesperia back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scorpions.

Hesperia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylanna Akwaboah, who had 17 assists. Akwaboah has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

Granite Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hesperia, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Granite Hills will head out to square off against Serrano at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hesperia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Indian Springs on the 9th.
