Baseball Recap: Mt. Diablo Takes a Loss

Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 25-3 to the Hayward Farmers.

Mt. Diablo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Vazquez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Mt. Diablo's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Hayward, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Diablo will welcome Northgate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hayward, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Tennyson at 4:00 p.m. The Farmers are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
