Volleyball Recap: Mayer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Ash Fork Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-3.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ash Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mayer will welcome BASIS Flagstaff at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ash Fork, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Seligman at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
