Edinburg waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They secured a 55-49 W over the Edinburg North Cougars. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 51-46 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Edinburg to victory were Brayan Martinez and Axel Navarro. Martinez went 6 of 11 on his way to 25 points and eight boards, while Navarro dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds gave Navarro a new career-high. Edgar Perales was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Edinburg North lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kiandre Estrada, who went 5 for 6 en route to 10 points. Another player making a difference was Osmar Alanis, who posted eight points.
