Piketon extended their winning streak to seven on Saturday, bumping them up to 19-2. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Peebles Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redstreaks have posted since April 13th.

Aubrey Heath was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Peebles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs.

On Peebles' side, Kaelyn Musser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. Musser has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kendall Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Piketon has already played their next game, a 15-8 win against Westfall on the 27th. As for Peebles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Lynchburg-Clay on the 28th.
