Football Game Recap: Twin Valley vs. Rye Cove

In almost any game, 48 points would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Rye Cove narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Twin Valley 50-48. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

The victory bumped Rye Cove's record up to 4-5. Twin Valley's defeat pushes them down to 3-6.

Next week Rye Cove will take on Burton at 7:30 PM. Burton have averaged 40.33 points over the course of their past six games, so Rye Cove might be in for a challenge. Twin Valley will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Hurley in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Hurley are limping into the match on a four-game losing streak.
