Basketball Recap: Mead Piles Up the Points Against Shadle Park

Mead won the last time they faced Shadle Park and things went their way on Friday too. The Mead Panthers blew past the Shadle Park Highlanders 79-43. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-16.

Mead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Shadle Park, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mead will host Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mead knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 games -- so hopefully Central Valley likes a good challenge. As for Shadle Park, they will take on Gonzaga Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gonzaga Prep will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Shadle Park surely won't give up without a fight.
