Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Wisdom

The Westside Wolves will square off against the Wisdom Generals at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westside's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Houston Math Science & Tech. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Wolves were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Wisdom waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Tigers. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Tigers are ranked 532nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wisdom has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Westside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
