Piedmont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Stanly work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-11.
North Iredell pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Piedmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
