Baseball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Victorious

Scurry-Rosser was handed a 13-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Palmer Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Adrian Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Preston Hale, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Scurry-Rosser's record now sits at 6-8-1. As for Palmer, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
