Basketball Recap: Mountain Lake/Comfrey Comes Up Short

Mountain Lake/Comfrey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles and fell 93-39. While losing is never fun, Mountain Lake/Comfrey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Southwest Minnesota Christian is ranked 176th).

Mountain Lake/Comfrey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Southwest Minnesota Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Mountain Lake/Comfrey will host Sleepy Eye at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwest Minnesota Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hills-Beaver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hills-Beaver Creek will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Southwest Minnesota Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
