Valley Forge's win ends 12-game losing streak at home

The Valley Forge Patriots's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They came out on top against Bedford by a score of 59-51. Valley Forge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Valley Forge can attribute much of their success to Kallie Yeager, who scored 12 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yeager has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Hoang, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.

Valley Forge's victory ended a 12-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Bedford, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rocky River at 6:45 p.m. on January 25th. Rocky River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Bedford on the road again on Saturday and play against Shaw at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Shaw is ranked 729th, while Bedford is ranked 718th).
